Clinical Counselor – Women’s Recovery Center (Inpatient Facility) – Part-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Clinical Counselor at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments, groups, individual & family counseling, treatment and discharge planning. Providing support services to clients to include transportation and case management needs.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services is required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience working with substance use disorder. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. NOTE: Applicant must be flexible over 7 days a week and must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder.  Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills. 

Qualifications:  LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s Degree in human service related field and working toward licensure.  Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills.  Experience working with substance use disorders.  Experience working with children and the family unit is preferred.

Patient Navigator

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Grand Strand Medical Center to coordinate services for Emergency Room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed, collects, enters and reports data and works closely with both Shoreline and Grand Strand Medical Center staff.

This is a full-time, grant-funded position, and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.

Once located at Grand Strand Medical Center, the ideal candidate must be available for shift work (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am) weekdays and/or weekends.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in human services field required. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred. Travel to national and state-level meetings, as well as some local travel is required.

DSS Liaison / Clinical Counselor

Duties for Clinical Counselor will include completing intakes, behavioral health screens, assessments and the full continuum of counseling services, family counseling and child counseling. Additional job requirements for the dual-location role in Department of Social Services and Shoreline Behavioral Health Services offices include visiting client’s homes and engaging in supervised visitations. Duties also include coordinating all DSS referrals made to Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and administering drug screens.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in human services related field required. Licensure (LPC, LMSW, LISW-CP, LMFT) and SCAADAC certification, (CAC) preferred. Must be able to begin this certification process upon hire. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work flexible hours are essential to this role.
