Peer Recovery Coach (Emergency Department) – Full-Time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Grand Strand Medical Center to coordinate services for Emergency Room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and Grand Strand Medical Center staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Once located at Grand Strand Medical Center, the ideal candidate must be available for work weekdays from 6pm – 2am.

Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or GED and be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Clinical Support Staff – Women’s Recovery Center (Inpatient Facility) – Part-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking two part-time Clinical Support Staff at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility for 3rd shift. Duties would include basic administrative work such as scanning documents into the electronic health record, shredding, photocopying and ordering supplies. You must also be capable of providing care for clients who need assistant in the late-night hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services is required. Experience working with substance use disorder preferred. Applicant must be flexible over 7 days a week and must work 3rd shift (10pm – 8am) for a total of 20-30 hours per week. Some holiday shifts may be required.

Clerical Assistant – Outpatient Facility –  Part-Time

This role is to provide an initial contact point with the client in order to gather personal information and set up a client record in Carelogic. While performing the Point of Entry, you will strictly adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA privacy policies as well as ensure complete and accurate data entry. Duties also include clerical support to clinical staff and management, review and complete required agency documentation, answer telephone, perform drug screens, assist clients with questions, scan medical records, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Must be organized and possess excellent time-management skills while working in a fast-paced front office environment. Candidate must also be willing to serve as a substitute front office personnel at our Forestbrook location.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ clerical experience.

Case Manager – Women’s Recovery Center (Inpatient Facility) – Full-Time

This entry-level clinical position requires the provision of case management services to SBHS clients located at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10 bed-residential treatment facility. The case manager will help clients in facilitating their access to needed services including medical, social, educational, and other services determined through assessment, care planning, referral and linkage as well as documenting the process using approved guidelines. In addition, the case manager will provide supportive services to clients to include meal planning, medication observation and transportation needs.

NOTE: The ideal candidate must be flexible over 7 days a week and must be able to work weekends, evenings and some overnight shifts.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the Human Services field, at least one year of documented experience working with individuals with psychoactive substance disorders. A working knowledge of families and/or systems theory, knowledge of community resources, and training in crisis intervention, effective communication and cultural diversity/competency is preferred.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder.  Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills. 

Qualifications:  LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
