ECHO Coordinator – Outpatient Facility –  Full-Time

The ECHO (Empowering Communities for Healthy Outcomes) Coordinator is a full-time, grant funded position within the Prevention Department at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services. The ECHO Coordinator will plan, organize and coordinate substance abuse prevention activities and programs with groups and other agencies. The Coordinator will implement the ECHO strategic plan, utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model, which entails comprehensive community level assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Coordinator will assist in research and provide recommendations for procurement of informational materials for assigned programs. He/she will provide and coordinate professional development trainings on substance abuse prevention practices and strategies. This grant focuses solely on the opioid epidemic by addressing prescription drug use in Horry County.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required and some related experience. Prevention, clinical and/or drug/alcohol experience a plus; Demonstrated capacity to inspire others to engage in community issues; Strong collaborator, able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Provisional/In-Process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required.

Custodian – Outpatient Facility –  Part-Time

Duties include ensuring spaces are prepared for clients and employees by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces. Custodian will also be responsible for keeping a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing request when supplies are low. Performing routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors. Washing and sanitizing toilets and sinks as well as restocking soap and paper products. Wiping mirrors and windows. Sweeping off sidewalks and front covered area. Emptying trash receptacles and bagging trash for proper disposal. Preparing rooms for different events. Monitoring building and reporting problems as they arise. Touching up paint and changing lightbulbs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures regarding cleaning and supplies, as well as operate vacuums and other related cleaning equipment.

Peer Recovery Coach – Emergency Department – Full-time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and the Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and Emergency Department staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach.

Qualifications: An Associates Degree and be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety is required. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Clerical Assistant – Outpatient Facility –  Part-Time

This role is to provide an initial contact point with the client in order to gather personal information and set up a client record in Carelogic. While performing the Point of Entry, you will strictly adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA privacy policies as well as ensure complete and accurate data entry.

Duties also include clerical support to clinical staff and management, review and complete required agency documentation, answer telephone, perform drug screens, assist clients with questions, scan medical records, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Must be organized and possess excellent time-management skills while working in a fast-paced front office environment. Candidate must also be willing to serve as a substitute front office personnel at our Forestbrook location.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ clerical experience. Spanish speaking abilities are a plus.

Case Manager – Inpatient Facility –  Full-Time

This entry-level clinical position requires the provision of case management services to SBHS clients located at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10 bed-residential treatment facility. The case manager will help clients in facilitating their access to needed services including medical, social, educational, and other services determined through assessment, care planning, referral and linkage as well as documenting the process using approved guidelines. In addition, the case manager will provide supportive services to clients to include meal planning, medication observation and transportation needs.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the Human Services field, at least one year of documented experience working with individuals with psychoactive substance disorders. A working knowledge of families and/or systems theory, knowledge of community resources, and training in crisis intervention, effective communication and cultural diversity/competency is preferred.

Note: This position is for week days only from 8am – 5pm.

Substance Abuse Specialist – Inpatient Facility –  Part-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a part-time Substance Abuse Specialist at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include facilitation of evening groups in addition to individual counseling sessions.  Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services is required. Experience working with substance use disorder. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

NOTE: This position is for evening/overnight shifts only.

Clinical Counselor – Inpatient Facility –  Full-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselor at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments, groups, individual & family counseling, treatment and discharge planning. Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

NOTE: Applicant must be willing to work all shifts. Some weekend and overnight shifts required.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder.  Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills. 

Qualifications:  LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
